Be Honest
July 27th, 2007
Here is a subjuct I am doing lots of research on at the moment. I would love some feedback on it from everyone.
Do you think women ages 30-60 really buy online?
I know it is supposed to be bestest, quickest, newest, you beaut way to shop these days, but does this group really like it? I would love to know what you all really think (even if you have a website and yes of course it is great)
Julie

hey there.
Love your range.
I am also selling online. To be honest I am suprised by how many people are so wary of buying online. I get plenty of calls from people not wanting to purchase online because they dont want to put their credit card details on the net, even though we have tried to clearly state we are a secure site with a SSL certificate and also offer paypal.
I really do think that generation is still wary and people in general are worried about the safety of their money/ detail online. I guess all we can do is explain our sites are secure, and offer a phone number for them to call and give there details.
I know that my family constantly shop online and that includes my mother and we are all over 30 - sigh!
I am getting some mixed answers. Of course mumspace is all about being online, we all love it, but next time you get face to face with others ask the question. I have been blown away by the amount of people who just wont, dont and never will buy online. Last week I asked 10 ladies, only 1 of them said they would shop online… but she bought from me at the market anyway.
Keep letting me know what you think,
Thanks
Julie
Thanks for TAGGING me…
I am in that age group…. middle of it actually… and I have been buying online for many years!
having said tha, i think i am ina inority. i told my friends about my new online shop, and most said they dont feel “safe” buying on line. some said it was security reasons.. some said it was they wanted to “ouch” and “feel’ before buying….
a tricky one!
what age group buys more???
I have been looking into this lots lately. I know we all love online because, well we are an online community and feel safe with it. We run anline stores and know it is safe. I really don’t think we are the majority. I would love to be able to say most of my sales come from the net but they don’t.
If someone has an opion on this I would love to hear more. I think products, age groups, etc have lots of effects on this. Don’t forget to read my article on “Tweens”
